Faculty Development Programme

FDP 2023-24

TIMSCDR organized two days Faculty Development Program (FDP) on 17 &18 Jan,2024 on Microsoft Power BI in association with Computer Society of India. The workshop was delivered by Ms. Supriya Thorat, a Technical Team Leader, Foslipy consulting services. The workshop aimed to empower participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to harness the full potential of Microsoft Power BI. The FDP covered fundamental concepts to advanced techniques like Data Importation and Transformation, Basic Modeling, Essential Visualization and   Dashboard Creation, Intermediate Data Modeling and DAX Functions, Advanced Visualization and Customization, Collaboration, Publishing, and Sharing etc. Foslipy Consultancy Services issued certificates to acknowledge the successful completion of the Microsoft Power BI  Workshop by the participant.

FDP 2022-23

TIMSCDR organized two days Faculty Development Program (FDP) on 25th and 26th May, 2023 on Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in association with FOSLIPY. Mr. Durvesh Bendale, who is Advanced Certified RPA developer, delivered the session about how repetitive computer oriented human task, or complicated and end to end procedures can be automated using Robotic Process Automation.

This session cleared the idea about what is the importance of RPA in Process Automation and how it is different from Traditional Automation. Various tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere and Blue Prism are used for RPA programming. This FDP resulted into successfully building a full-fledged BOT, based on real world use case hands on using UiPath. It was a great learning opportunity on a new technology for the faculty members.

FDP 2021-22

TIMSCDR organized a one-day online FDP on 23 December, 2021 on Ruby Technology in association with Spoken Tutorial, IIT-Bombay. On this FDP faculty members were introduced to different aspect of Ruby from the online portal of Spoken Tutorial. After learning the new technology had attempted assignments on the same. At the end there was a 45-minutes online test and minimum passing marks was 40%.All faculties successfully cleared the test on Ruby.

As an outcome of FDP, all faculty members gained insight into the Ruby technology for the purpose building desktop applications, static websites, data processing services, and even automation tools. It was a great learning opportunity on a new technology for the faculty members

FDP 2020-21

FDP – “Blockchain & Advanced Java" was conducted on January 15 – 16, 2021

TIMSCDR organized its first online FDP between 15-16 January, 2021 on Blockchain & Advanced Java in association with CSI, Mumbai Chapter and Institute Innovation Council (IIC). The programme was conducted by Dr.Manish Kumar Jain, International Corporate Trainer, Technical Consultant and Block chain Architect.

In this 2-day FDP faculty members have been introduced to various technologies. On day 1 he started with the introduction to Blockchain technology and taught about Blockchain and its features and applications. He gave a fair amount of knowledge about bit coin and practiced some hands on about bitcoin like how to create wallet and add coin to it. Also he introduced the solidity programme of Blockchain.

On day 2 of FDP, he introduced to the participants about angular and node js and exposed the participants to the hands on from it. He also introduced participants to the Spring Framework concept.

In this FDP, Dr Manish Jain, introduced different modern technologies that are a part of upcoming MCA syllabus, starting from basics to advanced features, in a short span of two days, in the most effective manner so that all faculty members can grasp and retain information and knowledge.

As an outcome of FDP, all faculty members gained insight into the different modern technologies like Angular and Node.js program and Blockchain technology.

FDP 2019-20

FDP – “Machine Learning with R” was conducted on November 27 – 29, 2019

Two day Faculty Development Program (FDP) was conducted on 27/11/2019 and 29/11/2019 on Machine Learning with R conducted by Anvira Edustation. Anvira Edustation is one of the leading services provider in the field of Practical Educational Training, Web & IT Services, Corporate Training, Electronics Projects on emerging technologies. The training was conducted by Mr. Rahul Puri, Co-founder & CEO, Anvira Edustation; Mr. Harsh Jalan, Assistant Researcher and Data Scientist and Mr. Sunny DSouza.

Mr. Harsh Jalan started the training with basic introduction to machine learning, supervised, unsupervised and reinforcement learning. It was followed by hands-on workshop on R programming. The workshop covered basics of R programming, Iris Data Classification using LDA, KNN, CART, Random Forest and SVM on day 1. Linear Regression Logistic Regression, K-means Clustering and elbow method, loading data using database, Meanshift Clustering, Artificial Neural Networks was covered on day 2.

As an outcome of FDP, all faculty members gained insight into the Machine Learning with R Programming.

FDP 2018-19

FDP – “Quality Improvement- NAAC accreditation process” was conducted on 26-27 November 2018.

The objective of this FDP was to make faculty members aware of the NAAC Accreditation Process.

On 26 November in morning session, Mr. Parag Shah, Associate Professor at Modern College, Ganesh Khind ,Pune, educated faculty members about NAAC Criteria 4- Infrastructure & Learning Resources and Criteria 6 – Governance, Leadership & Management. Afternoon session was conducted by Dr. Sanjay Gaikwad, Associate Professor at BJS’s ASC College Wagholi, Pune, explained about Criteria 5- Student Support & Progression and Criteria 7- Institutional Values & Best Practices.

On 27 November, the session was conducted by Mr. Peeyush Pahade, Associate Professor, H.V.Desai College, Pune, on Criteria 1- Curricular Aspects, Criteria 2 Teaching-learning & Evaluation and Criteria 3 Research, Innovations & Extension

As an outcome of FDP, all faculty members gained insight into NAAC Criteria 1 – 7.

FDP – “Python Workshop” was conducted on 13-15 December 2018

TIMSCDR conducted a remote live assisted 3-Day workshop on 'Basic Programming using Python ' for faculty members in association with FOSSEE IIT Bombay from 13-15 December 2018. The video lectures of IIT Bombay were broadcasted and quizzes were conducted using the Yaksh online test platform. All Q&A sessions were answered by the FOSSEE team remotely. 10 faculty members received certificate of achievement from FOSSEE,IIT Bombay.

FDP 2017-18

Faculty Development Programme (FDP) aims at enhancing the knowledge of the faculty members in the technical as well as interdisciplinary areas.

FDP – “Quality Improvement” was conducted on 16-17 November 2017.

The objective of this FDP was to make faculty members aware of the NBA Accreditation Process. On 16 November the faculty members were educated about Criteria 1-9 of NBA, trained in formation of CO’s, mapping between CO’s, PO’s and PEO’s. On 17 November the faculty members were trained by Falcon Eduventures in innovative techniques to teach millennial generation and increase class engagement.

As an outcome of FDP, all faculty members gained insight into all NBA Criteria and understood the process of formation of CO’s and assessment of achievement of PEO’s.

FDP 2016-17

Faculty Development Programme (FDP) is focused to enhance the knowledge of the faculty members in the technical field as well as interdisciplinary areas.

FDP was conducted on “Internal Auditor Training ISO 9001:2015” on 19 – 20 December, 2016.

The objective of this FDP was to make faculty members understand the principles and practices of Quality Assurance and make them more aware about Quality Management Systems. The faculty members were educated in the requirements of ISO 9001-2015, their applicability in an educational institute and given guidance to incorporate them in all their institutional processes.

As an outcome of FDP, 24 staff members have certified as a Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2015

FDP 2015-16

FDP was organized on 23-24 January, 2016 to familiarize faculty members with latest technological developments in IT as well as their applications in interdisciplinary areas. On 23 January, faculty members visited built.io, Virar and had a daylong session on “Be a part of the Smart World – Internet of Things (IoT)”. Demonstrations of various applications designed by them using IoT were given and also many other application areas were discussed. The training was facilitated by Mr. Pramod Mishra, Mr. Imran Khan, Mr. Nikhil Jain, Mr. Kunal Bharti and Mr. Rohit Pal from built.io. On 24 January we had hands on practical session on Raspberry Pi and Arduino was given at the institute.
