E-Cell Ayan
Today, in the current scenario, we require more budding employers who can give employment to the unemployed in the nation. To create employers, Institute runs “Ayan”, an entrepreneurship cell which inculcates entrepreneurship skills amongst students.
The cell conducts the following activities:
- Business Mela/Startup Summit –To promote sense of Entrepreneurship amongst the students. The main purpose of the event is to provide a platform for students to showcase and sell their products and improve their entrepreneurship skills.
- E-Week– E-week is an annual event organized by E-Cell. The event mainly focuses on encouraging educators and students to become innovation catalysts and investments that guarantee market success. E-Week includes various activities like competitions, expositions, motivation talks with successful entrepreneurs, fashion show etc.
- Guest Lectures/webinars – To motivate students to start their ventures.
E-Cell Events in A.Y. 2022-23
E-Day
E-day (Entrepreneur-Day) for the academic year 2022-23 was organized on April 20, 2023. The event E-Day instills Entrepreneurship amongst the student through success stories shared by Entrepreneurs.
The event was inaugurated by :

Various events like Shark Tank, Human Tic-Tac-Toe, Business Quiz, Logo Quest, Big Bull vs Giant Bear,
Shayari, Day Celebration (Traditional day) were conducted as a part of E-day 2023.
Business Mela 2022-23
Business Mela for the academic year 2022-23 was organized on 19 December 2022. The event
was organized by E-Cell to promote sense of Entrepreneurship among the students and to
provide a platform to showcase and sell their products and improve their entrepreneurship skills.
Following events were organized :

E-Day
Annual E-Day-2022 was organized by E-Cell on 22 April 2022 to promote Entrepreneurship amongst the students. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest – Mr. Bankim Mistry, Sole Proprietor, Bharat Traders followed by Panel Discussion on “Entrepreneurship as Career Opportunities in Aatmnirbhar Bharat”. E – Startup Summit
E-Startup Summit is an opportunity to connect with the best and brightest minds to explore how to fuel their business growth. It brings together the speakers to present and discuss innovation and success under the aegis of entrepreneurship for Small and Medium Businesses as they recount their learning and experiences, share their insights and practices that have enriched their ventures.
The IIC and E-Cell of Thakur Institute of Management Studies, Career Development & Research (TIMSCDR) organized E-Startup Summit for the Academic Year 2021-22 on 18 November 2021, 22 November 2021 and 30 November 2021. Objective of the event was to provide a platform for the students to interact with successful entrepreneurs and innovators to develop an inclusive entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Institute.
The guest speakers for the event were Mr. Devraj Raut, Cricket Performance Analyst, India U-19 Team, BCCI,Mr.VishalSanghavi, MD & CEO, Cybersetu India Pvt. Ltd &Setu Infocom, Mr. Sunil Deshmukh, C Suite Executive,Leadership Consulting, Executive Coach, Startup Mentor and Mr. Unmesh Kulkarni, Founder Member, Oceanic Circles.
Startup Summit for the Academic Year 2020-21
Ecell in association with Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MACCIA), NASSCOM, CSI and Aamhi Udyogini Pratistthan organized Startup Summit for the Academic Year 2020-21 on 18th March 2021. The event was organized to provide platform for students to interact with successful entrepreneurs and to develop an inclusive entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Institute.
The participants of Startup Summit were Mr. Shekhar, Founder and CEO, Solveit NOW Inc. and Ms. Priyanka Kothmire, Founder, frotels.com. The second session of the day was online Women’s Entrepreneurship Summit. The session was started with Ms. Meenal Mohadikar President, AamhiUdyogini,Mrs. Premlata Mishra, Women Committee Member, MACCIA followed by Ms. ShubhangiTirodkar, Vice President, MACCIA.
Various events such as Tag it up, Logo Quiz, Guestimate, Product Marketing, Virtual Stock Marketing and Entrepreneurship quizwere organized by the students from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm as a part of Entrepreneurship activities.
Mentoring session on Entrepreneurship
Webinar on “Indian Tech Start-Ups” by Mr. Prasenjit Roy, Senior Executive, Vice President & CMO at NTT Netmagic was organized on 19 September 2020.
Mr. Prasenjit with more than two and half decades of corporate experience on the business side – spanning across several multinationals in India and abroad is also a Mentor to NASSCOM’s 10,000 Start-ups and SME program, across India and a council member of CII. He mentored the students on “IndianTech Start-up Ecosystem” and about the expansion of eco system and 10 key trends that shape up the eco system.
E-Week 2020
Annual E-Week-2020 was organized by E-Cell from 26th to 29th February 2020 to promote Entrepreneurship amongst the students. The event was inaugurated on 28 February 2020, by the Chief Guest – Mr. Paresh Yadav, Partner, Skitre in the presence of Ms. Vaishali Kandalgaonkar, Proprieter, Shraddha classes, Dr. Anjali Tayde, Owner, Arthita Bags, Mr. Ramakant Yadav, Director at Sriyaan Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Blockchain Technology, consultant (TIMSCDR-Alumni) and Dr. Vinita Gaikwad, Director, TIMSCDR. Entrepreneurship mentoring sessions by Ms. Shalini Dabholkar, Founder – Socio Catalyst and by Mr. Shashank Pradhan, Founder ICEx PRO, Global Business Networking Platform were conducted on 26 and 27 February 2020 respectively to motivate students. Speakers narrated their success stories and how to face challenges while setting up one’s own business. On 29 February 2020 session on Intellectual Property Right by Mr. Janak Sinh Jhala, Principal Associate, Khaitan & Co. was conducted to make students aware about patents and Intellectual property and also the process of filing the patents.
Start-Up Summit 2019 – 2020
Thakur Institute of Management Studies, Career Development & Research (TIMSCDR) in association with Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (MACCIA) organized Startup Summit for the Academic Year 2019-20 on 4th October 2019. The event was organized by E-Cell to provide platform for students to interact with successful entrepreneurs and to develop an inclusive entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Institute.

The Startup Summit was conducted by Ms. Pradnya Ponkshe, Founder, Trimit Rachana & Chairperson Women Entrepreneurs Committee, MACCIA.
Business Mela 2019 – 2020
Business Mela for the academic year 2019-20 was organized on 4th and 5th October 2019. The event was organized by E-Cell to promote sense of Entrepreneurship among the students and to provide a platform to showcase and sell their products and improve their entrepreneurship skills.
The two days event had 11 stalls put up by the students selling eatables and also gaming stalls. Cultural Activities was also scheduled along with Business Mela. E leaders put up stalls for cards and roses to celebrate Secret Card Admirer Day, Rose Day, Twin Day and Chocolate Day. Secret Card Admirer Day was celebrated from 1st and 3rd October, Rose and Chocolate day on 4th and 5th October, Twin Day on 4th October and Traditional Day on 5th October. Total 15 stalls were there.
E-week 2018 – 2019
TIMSCDR celebrated E-Week 2019 on 1 and 2 March 2019. E-week is an annual event organized by ECell. The event mainly focuses on encouraging educators and students to become innovation catalysts and investments that guarantee market success. Various events such as Kaun banega Entrepreneur, Tag it up, Buzzle the Puzzle, Logo Quiz, Guestimate, Paper texture, Karaoke, TIC TAC TOE, Paper dance and Treasure hunt were organized as a part of E-Week 2019.
The inauguration ceremony was done by two inspiring women entrepreneurs, Ms. Pradnya Ponkshe – Founder, Trimit Rachana & Chairperson Women Entrepreneurs Committee, MACCIA, Ms. Sarita Agarwal- Entrepreneur / Co-Founder & MD, Nebula Personalization Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and by Mr. Prathmesh Kulkarni- Alumni(TIMSCDR) & Co Founder Bizotics.
Business Mela 2018 – 2019
TIMSCDR organized Business Mela for the academic year 2018-19 on 5th and 6th October 2018. The event was organized by E-Cell to promote sense of Entrepreneurship among the students to provide a platform to showcase and sell their products and improve their entrepreneurship skills.
To encourage the students to become Entrepreneurs, two inspiring Women Entrepreneurs were invited. Ms. Samata Patil – Keer, Director – Hakuna Matata Travel & More Pvt Ltd. and Ms. Alpana Mandal, Founder & Chief Solutionist, Spacebar. They motivated the students by narrating their own success stories and how to face challenges while setting up one’s own business.
The two days event had 14 stalls put up by the students selling eatables and ornaments and also gaming stalls. E leaders put up stalls for cards, roses and chocolates to celebrate Secret Card Admirer Day, Rose Day, Retro Day and Chocolate Day.
E-week 2017 – 2018
TIMSCDR celebrated E-Week 2018 conducted by National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) from 1st to 7thFebruary 2018. E-week is an annual event driven by National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) the flagship initiative of Wadhwani Foundation. The event mainly focuses on encouraging educators and students to become innovation catalysts and investments that guarantee market success. E-Week includes various activities like competitions, expositions, motivation talks with successful entrepreneurs, fashion show etc.
The Guest speakers of the inauguration were Mr. Bharat Mandot, Co Founder at Jhakaas Technologies Private Limited and Mr. Bankim Mistry, President, Bombay Small Scale Industries Association. The speaker for the closing ceremony was Mr. Navin Reddy, Founder, Telusko.
Along with various technical and entrepreneurial events we had organized a Walk –a-thon in Thakur village representing theme ‘Go Green Day’.

TIMSCDR organized Business Mela for the academic year 2017-18 on 9th and 10th October, 2017. It is an Event organized by E-Cell to promote sense of Entrepreneurship amongst college students. The main purpose of the event is to provide a platform for students to showcase and sell their products and improve their entrepreneurship skills.
Along with business mela we celebrated Squad day on 9.10.17 and Cultural days on 10.10.17

Expert talks were delivered by Mr. Mehul Suchak : Motivational Speaker and trainer , Mr. Deepak Dutt : Founder of My Mithaiwala Team and Mr. Ronald – NEN Program Manager(Mumbai –Pune) at the inauguration ceremony of Business Mela on 3rd October 2016.
Along with business mela were also celebrated Chocolate day, Traditional day, Card day and Rose day.
