Admission Process for Doctoral Program Ph. D.(Technology)

All admissions are governed by the University Grant Commission (UGC) and University of Mumbai (UoM) guidelines. Admission are given on the basis of eligibility criteria and PET/NET/SET score and the performance in the interview. Entire admission process is done as per the schedule notified in leading newspapers and on Institute’s official website. 

• An applicant must score a minimum of 55% in the postgraduate program from any discipline under a recognized Government, state, or a deemed university. 
• The admission is given based on both merit and entrance exam. Students have to appear for entrance examinations conducted by universities and institutes like PET/NET/SET.
• After the entrance examination, selected students have to appear for a personal interview based on score clearance. During this round, students have to present the proposed topic of their research to the panel.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates for admission to the Ph.D. program shall have successfully completed: 

1. A 2-year/4-semester or 3-year/6-semester Master’s degree program (after 3 year undergraduate degree) with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 10- point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of educational institutions. 
2. A 2-year/4-semester Master’s degree program, with the same conditions as in sub clause above; 
3. NET/SET/PET Exam (As per University of Mumbai)

3. PG Degree Certificate or Provisional Degree Certificate* 
4. Work experience letter (if applicable) 
5. No Objection Certificate from previous employer (if applicable) 
6. Copy of Aadhaar Card 
7. Copy of Pan Card 
8. NET Exam Certificate (if applicable)
