At TIMSCDR, students and faculties are always encouraged to be socially aware through various programs. Students and faculties gets chance to serve community wholeheartedly. Blood donation is one of the most significant contribution that a person can make towards the society. An ailing body needs blood for various reasons. Person may be attacked with anemia, undergone an operation or may have met with an accident. Such a patient may die for want of blood as it is not always available. Even a pregnant mother may need blood in case of emergency situation.
Blood Donation and Organ Donation awareness Camp (26th September, 2019)
Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Seva Mandir and Organ Donation Awareness Camp in collaboration with AMC (Association of Medical Consultants) were organized on 26th September, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. The Blood Donation Camp was supervised by Mahatma Gandhi Seva Mandir Blood Bank team comprising of doctors, nurses and technicians.
Dr. Mukesh Gupta (MBBS, MD, Hon. Vice President, AMC) addressed the students on “Importance of Blood Donation and Organ Donation”.
The donors went through series of medical checkups before donating blood. 66 blood bags were collected during the camp.
Blood Donation Camp (24th August, 2018)
Blood Donation Camp was organized on 24th August, 2018 in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Seva Mandir, from 9:30 a.m. onwards in the Boys Common Room, TIMSCDR. The camp was supervised by Mahatma Gandhi Seva Mandir Blood Bank team comprising doctors, nurses and technicians.
Dr. Mukesh Gupta (MBBS, MD, Hon. Vice President, AMC) addressed the students on “Positivity”. Dr. Kishore Jha, (MD Path, D.P.S.) also addressed the students on the “Importance of Blood Donation”.
The donors went through series of medical checkups before donating blood and were given certificate of appreciation for this service to humanity. 74 blood bags were collected during the camp.
Blood Donation Camp (22nd August, 2017)
Blood donation camp was organized on 22nd August, 2017 in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Seva Mandir and Lions Club from 9:30 am onwards in the Boys common room, ground floor, TIMSCDR. The program commenced with Dr. Mukesh Gupta (MBBS, MD, Hon. Secretary AMC) Addressing the students on “Investing in Youth for Healthy Retirement”. Dr. Mukesh Gupta is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist at Dr. Gupta’s Nursing Home, Malad (W) and he is also Managing Director, Le Nest, Malad (W). He is awarded Best work award by FOGSI at National Conference on Adolescent Health, 1999. Winner of “Emerging Star of Medicines” by IMA, Mumbai, March, 2011. He has conducted more than 100 programs in schools & colleges since 11 years on subject like adolescent health, family life education etc. Lecture of Dr.Gupta inspired students and staff to donate blood. The lecture also made the students aware about healthy practices in youth so that after retirement their life is secure. Students and staff were also informed about Thalassemia disease.
Students and staff turned out in large numbers to donate blood. The donors went through series of medical checkups before donating blood and were given refreshments and a certificate of appreciation for this service to humanity.
Blood Donation Camp (20th August, 2016)
Blood donation camp was organized on 20th August, 2016 in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Seva Mandir from 9:30 onwards in the Boys Common Room, ground floor, TIMSCDR. The program commenced by address of Dr. Mukesh Gupta (MBBS, MD, Hon. Secretary AMC) on “Pre Marital Relationship Management” to spread awareness among students in the study skill centre, TIMSR at 9:00 am. Dr. Mukesh Gupta is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist at Dr. Gupta’s Nursing Home, Malad (W) and Managing Director, Le Nest, Malad (W). He is awarded Best work award by FOGSI at National Conference on Adolescent Health, 1999. Winner of “Emerging Star of Medicines” by IMA, Mumbai, March, 2011. He has conducted more than 100 programs in schools & colleges since 11 years on subject like adolescent health, family life education etc. Lecture of Dr.Gupta inspired students and staff to donate blood. The lecture also ensured that youth are fully informed about their health and equipped to make safe choices and negotiate wanted outcomes and be tailored to the different circumstances and experiences of they face.

Blood Donation Camp (6th October, 2015)
At TIMSCDR students are encouraged to imbibe the principle of community service and be generous and large hearted – bound by beliefs beyond themselves. Organizing a Blood Donation Camp is just another step in this direction. Every day, hundreds/thousands of people in India require blood for a transfusion, a surgery or some medical procedure. In many cases, especially open heart surgery, there is need for fresh blood and therefore a need for donors.
Blood donation camp was organized on 6th October, 2015 in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Seva Mandir from 9:30 onwards in the Girls common room , ground floor. The program commenced by address of Dr. Mukesh Gupta (MBBS, MD, Hon. Secretary AMC) on “Relevance of Good Health and Blood Donation” to spread awareness among students in the seminar hall at 9:00 am. Dr. Mukesh Gupta is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist at Dr. Gupta’s Nursing Home, Malad (W) and Managing Director, Le Nest, Malad (W). He is awarded Best work award by FOGSI at National Conference on Adolescent Health, 1999. Winner of “Emerging Star of Medicines” by IMA, Mumbai, March, 2011. He has conducted more than 100 programs in schools & colleges since 11 years on subject like adolescent health, family life education etc. Lecture of Dr.Gupta inspired students and staff to donate blood. The lecture captured the attention of the audience and educated them for healthy practices to be followed to keep ourselves healthy and our environment disease free.

Health Check Up (23rd September, 2014)
Working towards the goal of healthy campus and keeping the thought “Your health is important to your performance” by Yuki Kure, TIMSCDR has proposed a Health camp for its students and staff. The camp was organized on 18th September, 2014 in collaboration with Dr, Jacob Thomas (M.D. General Medicine, DMB) and Pharmaceutical Company Sanofi. The aim of the health check up camp was to check the following factors:
Prevalence of obesity in Student population
Prevalence of hypertension in Student population
Prevalence of diabetes in Student population
Correlation of lifestyle of student with above anomalies
Prevalence of addiction in Student population
Correlation of good health with academic performance
Correlation of Stress/Self esteem with physical health and academic performance
Prevalence of above illness on Admin staff and faculty correlation measures
Method Used:
Measurement of Height/ Weight/ BMI/ Blood Sugar/ Blood Pressure
Preparation of Questionnaire to evaluate the data regarding participant’s life style and family history
Analysis of the health data evaluate the health statistics of the participants
Health Lecture was delivered by Dr. Jacob to the students and staff of TIMSCDR on 23rd September, 2014 presenting the analysis done for the health data .
