Guest Lecture – Mr. Amar Srivastava
Mr. Amar Srivastava (TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2015) – currently working with Deloitte as a Senior Consultant, conducted an insightful and interactive guest lecture on 3 October 2024 as part of the Student Induction Program arranged for the 1st semester students. His session on “Career in Quality Engineering” exemplified different roles in Quality Engineering and general myths associated with these. He also talked about various certifications which students can do in Quality Engineering.
Alumni – Student Mentoring Program
This initiative aims to foster meaningful connections between alumni and current students, offering invaluable opportunities for mentorship, guidance, and professional development. A total of 60 alumni, residing across various parts of the globe, have volunteered for the initiative. Their participation will provide students with diverse perspectives, international exposure, and valuable industry insights, further enhancing the mentorship and professional development opportunities offered through this program.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by alumni from Batches 2004 – 2022. Mr. Vishwajeet Sukhija, TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2005 addressed the students and emphasized upon importance of networking.
A panel discussion on “Campus to Corporate” which was moderated by Mr. Apurb Sinha, TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2004 with panellists Mr. Vikrant Pawar (Batch 2005), Mr. Prashant Pandey (Batch 2009), Mr. Gaurav Singh (Batch 2010), Mr. Prashant Nair (Batch 2015) and Mr. Malav Shah (Batch 2022).
Guest Lecture – Mr. Sanjeev Jha
Mr. Sanjeev Jha (TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2014 Audit Manager @ Volkswagen Group Technology Solutions India conducted a guest lecture on 24 September 2024 during the Student Induction Program arranged for the 1st semester students. His session on “Career in Cyber Security” focused on the growing demand for professionals in cybersecurity, highlighting key roles such as Security Analyst, Penetration Tester, and Cybersecurity Engineer. It also provided guidance on certifications, career paths, and how to stay updated in this fast-evolving field.
Guest Lecture – Mr. Prashant Pandey
Mr. Prashant Pandey (TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2009) – currently working with Ernest &Young GDS as Manager – Digital Transformation, conducted an insightful and interactive guest lecture on 24 September 2024 during the Student Induction Program arranged for the 1st semester students. His session on “Career in AIML” provided participants with a clear understanding of the vast career opportunities in AI/ML and actionable steps to start their journey.

Ms. Vertika Chandra (TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2005) – lead consultant graced the convocation ceremony of our Batch 2023 on 30 March 2024. She delivered a motivating commencement speech, encouraging students to continuously enhance their skills, overcome setbacks, and approach each day with a renewed outlook.

Guest Lecture – Mr. Abhay Naik
Mr. Abhay Naik (TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2007) – currently working as Director, Engineering @ Elevate K-12 conducted a guest lecture on 20 March 2024 arranged for the 2nd semester students. He gave a session on “Design Thinking”, wherein he emphasized to students the need to design solutions that cater to their needs as well as that of customers (user subjectivity).

Mr. Jaimin Bhatt (TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2023) – Sr. Customer Success Manager, VOICEplug conducted a guest lecture on 23 November 2022 during the Student Induction Program arranged for the 1st semester students. His topic was “Business, technology and the Way Forward” in which he discussed that how even software engineers need to understand the business aspects of any project/ product to be able to deliver efficiently.
Synapse Judge – Mr. Om Narayan Shukla
Mr. Om Narayan Shukla, Software Engineer at Homeville Group, TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2020, as a judge in Synapse conducted on 12 October 2023. He evaluated students’ projects from Industry perspective and shared valuable insights.

Mr. Ajay Singh (TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2009) – currently working with Flipkart as Senior Director of Engineering where he leads Flipkart consumer e-commerce apps across devices & network, conducted a guest lecture on 1 March 2024 arranged for the 2nd semester students. His topic was “Navigating the Path to Professional Success”. He talked about the expectations of Industry when they are hiring freshers, how students can groom themselves for their corporate transition and emphasized specifically on projects done as part of MCA curriculum.
Guest Lecture – Ms. Surabhi Chavanat
Ms. Surabhi Chavan (TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2015) – currently working with Amazon Prime Video as Business Intelligence Engineer where she leads the analytics for Engagement & Retention conducted a guest lecture on 28 August 2023 during the Student Induction Program arranged for the 1st semester students. Her topic was “Navigating your Journey to the Corporate World”. She discussed about importance of soft skills in one’s career and emphasized upon using platforms such as LinkedIn to connect with other professionals. She talked about how identifying career goal during MCA course is crucial; hard work and discipline the key components that help achieve it.

Mr. Vishwajeet Sukhija (TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2005) – Regional Business Head, Apple graced the convocation ceremony of our Batch 2022 on 21 April 2023. He also gave the convocation address in which he talked about importance of Financial Awareness for students at the beginning of their professional life.

Industrial Visit – Mumbai Monorail – June 2022
Mr. Sandeep Singh, Manager MIS & IT at Mumbai Monorail, TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2008 conducted a Virtual Industrial Visit for all students of TIMSCDR on 28 June 2022. He gave students a virtual walk through of the Mumbai Monorail Depot and gave an overview of its operations. He also demonstrated the IT Infrastructure – switches, servers etc that enables the Mumbai Monorail Project.
Webinar session on “Emerging Technologies”
A webinar on “Emerging Technologies” was conducted by Ms. Swati Verma, Application Development Senior Analyst, Accenture Pvt. Ltd, TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2015 on 4 January 2022 during the Student Induction Program arranged for the 1st semester students. She guided the students about the latest technologies that are being used in the Industry. She also discussed with students the importance of soft skills and how it plays a crucial role in success of one’s professional life.
Webinar session on “Industry Expectations from Freshers”
A webinar on “Industry Expectations from Freshers” was conducted by Ms. Vertika Chandra, ex. Director of Services, Cresco International, TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2005 on 3 January 2022 during the Student Induction Program arranged for the 1st semester students. She mentored the current students about the gap between the expectations of students when they start working in the Industry vs. the actual scenario. She discussed about the corporate culture and how the students need to alter their attitude and work ethics to match the Industry requirements.
Webinar session on “My Story – Motivational Session by Successful Entrepreneur”
A webinar on “My Story – Motivational Session by Successful Entrepreneur” was conducted by Mr. Devraj Raut, Cricket Performance Analyst, India U-19 Team, BCCI and TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2009 on 18 November 2021 for TIMSCDR students. The session was organized by E-Cell and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of TIMSCDR. During the session Mr. Devraj shared his journey of 14 years in the field of Cricket Analysis. He also discussed how his entrepreneurial journey started during COVID-19 pandemic with development of “Cricket Workload Monitoring Mobile App” by him. The monitoring App is helpful for upcoming cricketers and professional cricketers to improve themselves. He motivated the students to pursue their passion and see how they could turn it into their profession too.
Webinar session on “Campus to Corporate Transition”
An interaction of current students was arranged with a few Alumni of Batch 2020 on 18 September 2021 on the topic “Campus to Corporate Transition”. Our alumni Ms. Misba Khan, Executive II, Asian Paints Limited; Mr. Sumit Kumbhar, Software developer, Chenoa Information services; Ms. Shraddha Ghatge, Software Developer, BNP Paribas; Ms. Anuja Naik, Associate Software Engineer, Accenture and Mr. Manish Kini, Full Stack Developer, IPixels Agency pvt ltd mentored the current students about the gap between the expectations of students when they start working in the Industry vs. the actual scenario. They discussed about the corporate culture, various technologies used in Industry, difference in working in the offline and online mode. They also guided students about how to prepare for aptitude and written tests as well as shared tips to face interviews.

Webinar session on “Academic Projects”
A webinar on “Academic Projects – Tips to do Better” was conducted by Mr. Ajay Vishwakarma, Team Lead at Insolutions Global Limited, TIMSCDR Alumnus Batch 2013 on 15th May 2021. He discussed with students how projects are handled in Industry and guided them about how they can adopt the same methodology for their College Academic projects. He demonstrated use of various project documents such as Functional Specification Document, Document of Understanding used in Industry and also shared various resources helpful during project development. He also instructed students about do’s and don’t to be followed while freelancing projects.
Webinar session on “Industry Expectations from Freshers”
A live webinar session on “Industry Expectations from Freshers” was conducted on 17 October 2020 for all students of TIMSCDR by Mr. Dhananjay Prajapati, Senior Director – Web Technology at Zeus Learning and Mr. Vijay Venkatraman, Vice President – JPMorgan Chase & Co. Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. Both Mr. Dhanajay and Mr. Vijay are alumni of TIMSCDR, Batch 2006.
They collectively mentored the students about how they need to prepare themselves for the campus to corporate transition and answered many queries of students such as how to prepare for recruitment process, importance of practical knowledge and the crucial role soft skills play in one’s career.
Mock Interviews sessions
Mock Interviews sessions were arranged for Semester 5 students from 17-21 August 2020, to prepare them to appear for the virtual online interviews happening in current COVID scenario. 10 TIMSCDR alumni also volunteered to be part of panel of interviewers.

Online training on the Salesforce platform
Mr. Apurb Sinha, Head CRM & Analytics (APAC) at Invesco Ltd, Alumni Batch 2004 conducted online training for interested students on the Salesforce platform in June 2020. Under his mentorship students got a hands-on training spanning across various aspects of Salesforce. They have acquired multiple badges and superbadges such as Business Admin Specialist (BS), Report and Database Specialist (RDBS) and Security Specialist(SS).
Interaction between alumni, faculty and students on 5 October 2019 about trainings / workshops that can be conducted to complement the MCA curriculum, Institutional activities and their relevance from Industry perspective and arranging Alumni reunion.

Alumni Meet was organized on 23 April 2016 in which many alumni participated and gave guidance to current students about campus to corporate transition. The meet ended with an informal networking session over dinner.

Alumni Meet was organized on 18 April 2015. It included an interactive session between alumni and current students, cultural programs including dance performances, games and DJ followed by dinner.
